Mouse Mover is a Chrome extension that keeps your screen awake and your status active in web chat apps while you step away. It works entirely in your browser.

What Mouse Mover does not do

What it keeps in your browser

Mouse Mover keeps a few values with Chrome’s storage so it can work:

Removing the extension deletes them.

What it does on pages

To keep chats showing you as active, Mouse Mover sends synthetic pointer movements and an F15 key press to the chat tabs it recognises: Teams, Slack, Zoom, Webex, RingCentral, Zoho Cliq, Discord and Google Chat, also inside Gmail. In any tab it may draw a cursor; outside chats and mail it may also scroll a little. To draw the right cursor shape, it looks only at what is under the pointer, on your device, without saving or sending anything.

Permissions

This website

mousemover.online is a static site on a server we run. It sets no cookies, has no analytics or forms, and keeps no access logs. The welcome page address carries the extension’s ID, whether it is pinned to the toolbar and its keyboard shortcut, only so the page can show the right steps.

Changes and contact
